Recipe: Angus Sirloin Steak Seared in Garlic Butter

🔥 Ideal cooking: Medium-rare (54°C / 130°F)

Ingredients :

• 1 Angus sirloin steak AA+ (around 300-400g)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp butter
• 2 crushed garlic cloves
• Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
• Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Preparation :

1. Take the steak out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking.
2. Season generously with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a cast iron skillet or BBQ over high heat.
4. Sear the steak for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Add the butter, garlic and herbs, and baste the meat at the end of cooking.
6. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving for optimal tenderness.
